Quaich Award 2012

Quaich award winners 2010We will be presenting this award to a pupil or pupils in a High School within East Lothian. These pupils will be stepping forward in a leadership role to honour, uphold & improve the development of the positive ethos in their school.

We would like nominations of pupils’ names from Head Teachers, Teachers or Guidance staff.

Last year this award was presented to a 6th year pupil Ashleigh Finlayson, Musselburgh Grammar.

Brene Brown, PH.D, LMSW is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.
She has spent the past ten years studying vulnerability, courage, authenticity and shame.
Brene is a speaker and has won numerous teaching awards, including the Houston Graduate College's Outstanding Faculty Award.
She is author of The gifts of Imperfection: Letting Go of Who We Think We Should Be and Embracing Who We Are (Hazelden, 2010)

Jason McKinney runs Edinburgh Marathon for ABEL

Jason completes Edinburgh Marathon raising funds for ABELJason McKinney completed the Edinburgh Marathon to raise funds for ABEL.
Sporting a blue and white top with the ABEL logo he completed the marathon
and raised a staggering £467.99 for ABEL.
